What's the secret to the perfect wedding kiss?

Definitely, NO Celebrant body parts in the frame!

This is the moment that everyone has been waiting for. And it is totally about the two of you. Above all, be yourselves. Authenticity makes all the difference!

It also takes planning, and practice to achieve the perfectly photogenic kiss!

Practice makes perfect

  • Rehearse you kiss a few (thousand) times
This will ensure that your muscle memory kicks in on the day, reducing anticipatory nerves. But, trust me, when the moment arrives, there will be no nerves, just the overwhelming joy of realising you are now married.

But also, planning is key

  • Communicate with Your Partner
Discuss what feels natural and comfortable for both of you. It’s important that both of you are on the same page.
  • Think about the ceremony space and what will be in the background
Whether it’s a beautiful arch or a scenic view or just a plain wall, an uncluttered background will enhance the overall picture.

Things to consider

  • The Perfect Length
Hold your kiss for a few seconds longer than usual to give your photographer ample time to capture the moment.
  • The Perfect Angle
Mind Your Angles to avoid bumping noses. Slightly tilt your heads in opposite directions to create a more visually appealing angle for photos.
  • The Perfect Lips
Are relaxed.  Keep your lips soft and relaxed, avoiding any tension that can make the kiss look stiff or awkward.
  • The Perfect Posture
Stand up straight with your shoulders back. This will not only look better in photos but also send a visual message of confidence and elegance.
  • The Perfect Hands
Are engaged, but not grabby! To add emotion and intimacy, gently place your hands on your partner’s face, neck, or waist. Never on the behind - the evidence may be visible for the rest of the day. Delicate fabrics like silk can change texture if exposed to heat and damp. You handprint will be evidence.

On the day

Take your time and enjoy the moment. A rushed kiss can look awkward and may not capture the essence of your love.

But above all, be yourselves. Authenticity makes all the difference!
